Prior to the pandemic the Year 12 Exam Preparation, know as la Matinée du français, was an 'in person' morning of vital information on the final exams, presented by experienced Year 12 teachers.
Today, the AFTV provides this information to VCE French students via videos and a downloadable booklet.
The AFTV has screened many movies over the years, which have been enjoyed by hundreds of French students across the state. Film
sub-committee members have prepared worksheets for these movies.
An AFTV / Forum de la Francophonie Initiative
We are pleased to announce the AFTV 2025 Junior Video Competition, centered around the theme La Gastronomie.
This competition invites students from Year 5 to Year 8 to look into the rich culinary traditions of Francophone countries.
Over
two Sundays, AFTV organised an Atelier Oral for our metro and regional students. Students had the opportunity to practice their oral conversation and engage with the marking criteria by providing their peers with feedback and also had the opportunity to engage with the
discussion section of the exam..
✨ The AFTV 2024 AGM was another fantastic evening, celebrating the achievements and tireless efforts of our dedicated committee members. Together, we continue to promote the teaching and learning of French in Victoria, offering dynamic, innovative projects and
professional learning sessions to support French teachers.
